52 Week Challenge - Week 16

Never again.  That's what I swore after last weekend's marathon to finish our taxes before the deadline on April 18th.  So, taxes are my finished project for the week.  A needful and boring task, which, now that it is complete, is a huge weight off my shoulders.
Our dining room table late Sunday night

Do you have a task that you hate to do, procrastinate terribly about, and then, when your back is against the deadline, finally finish to your great relief? I would love to hear about it.

Let's get busy,

P.S. - Please post a link to a project you have completed this week.  I hope it was one you enjoyed more than I enjoyed mine.  It would also be welcome if you clicked on each others links, and left a comment or heart behind.

  1. I hear you! My project lately has been a fun one, but I still had other things to do and kept putting it off. I have to get everything ready for Easter! Bake, stuff eggs for the hunt, paint eggs, and get a basket (or 3) together. Easter kind of snuck up on me this year!

  2. I could write about a hundred things I hate to do and procrastinate about till the very very last minute. Taxes is one of them. The rest is every single thing I don't like and takes more than a couple of minutes to complete: reading a book that a friend insisted I read and that I have no genuine interest in; hand-washing delicate clothes; doing an inventory at work; organize work meetings; go to the dentist! I guess you get the idea :)

  6. My current project is distributing the enormous amounts of produce already coming from our garden. I really enjoy sharing the harvest with our international neighbors and hearing about how they plan to prepare each vegetable.

  8. I'm working on a huge project right now. My grad thesis project. I'm sure I won't finish it tonight but I will be finished by next Wednesday! I like the idea of finishing something every week. :) Found you via EBT. Love your Etsy avatar!

  11. Well I did my taxes at the last minute too! Glad it's over for another year. I always say next year I'm going to do them early - yeah right!

  12. I do the same thing on taxes each year! This year was AWFUL since we changed our official 'state' of resident midway through - I had no idea how complicated that was going to make things. NEVER again - if we change again, it will be on January 1!! Blech.
