Thankful Sunday

Several members of our church work at Trader Joes, (an eclectic grocery store chain with attitude, which is an experience in itself).  Anyway, every week Trader Joes donates flowers to our church, and our church gives away the leftovers to the congregation.

This is a bunch from last Sunday.  My Mom made the vase from an empty plastic UTZ snack canister.  She glued yarn to the top and bottom, and painted it with fingernail polish.  It is surprisingly attractive, and perfect for these long stemmed beauties.

I am thankful for the generosity of people - Trader Joes, my church, my Mom, and others who have touched my life this week.

I was taught, "you can't outgive God."  I think that means we should give a lot, and He will bless us back even more.

What are you thankful for today?

  1. Pretty flowers and a very creative vase! Giving gifts is sometimes more fun than receiving them :)
