W.I.P.

My daughter and I got the Joshua quilt sandwiched, and pinned, and then spent about an hour looking through quilting patterns for just the right one to use.  We tentatively decided on one called World of Stars from Leah Day's Free Motion Quilting Site.  I've practiced it on paper, and scrap fabric, and found that stars are not as easy to quilt as they seem.

The final decision has not been made on using this design for Joshua's quilt
I knit a few rows on a wool scarf while watching T.V. with my husband.

This scarf will be felted, and given as a gift to my husband (not a surprise to him).

Mainly, I worked on finishing up my stocking order, which will be mailed out soon.
Some of the strip sets waiting to be cut into stockings

What have you been working on this week?

P.S. - I've linked up to Quiltsy,  Freshly Pieced, Fabric Tuesday, Quiltsy, and We Did It Wednesday.  Be sure to check them out to see other works in progress, and link up your projects.

  1. I like that star pattern for quilting, but agree, it does look tricky!

  3. I've learned that NOTHING is as easy to quilt as it seems! Especially things that are actually supposed to look like something! :)

But good for you for trying something different! Leah Day's website has really great ideas. Good luck!

  4. Good for you for trying the stars. I've done them, but not like Leah does hers. Love your stockings, and knitting while watching tv...me too.
