Buttons from Africa

Recently, I was contacted by ButtonMad regarding hosting an exchange offering a free pack of their buttons to crafters in exchange for a tutorial using them.

These buttons provide employment for women in South Africa



They received many applicants and the button tutorials have started coming in.  You can see some of the posts on my sister blog - Totally Tutorials.


Today, I got a package from South Africa with these gorgeous buttons.  I can't wait to use them in a project.  I'm thinking one of the big ones would look great on a bag made with batik or African fabric, hmmmm......

    Those are probably the prettiest buttons I've seen! I can't wait to see what you do with them.
