Pin or Hand Baste?

I admit that I am a pin baster, except on some Hawaiian applique handwork when I do stitch in the basting by hand.

This is a batik charm quilt I'm currently quilting.  The fabrics were gathered from a swap the Quiltsy team did over the summer.  I am finally getting around to using them!









What is your preferred method of basting?
