My dancing spools top is pieced.  Next, I get to quilt!

I finished my first knitted baby hat this week too.

It was supposed to be for a baby shower in a couple of weeks.  I have a quilt to give as a present, but thought this hat would be a nice little extra.  However, the DPN's gave me trouble, and I will have to rework the top.  You can't see the unraveling because it is hidden on the other side.

Since it is such a cute pattern, I've started another one.  Hopefully this one will be done in time for the shower, and I can sort out the first one later.

What have you been working on?
I've linked with Fabric Tuesday, Adorned from Above, Freshly Pieced, and Sew Much Ado

  1. adorable spools and I hope you can fix that hat easily for the shower. The rim is very pretty.

  4. i actually really like the spools dancing/on point! i haven't been a big fan of spool quilts, but this i like. =)

  5. I love the quilt and the hat. I hope you can finish the other one in time. That quilt would look great in any sewing room.

  6. Oh, I do like the quilt and the hat is adorable! I haven't been working on any sewing projects but I am working on a sewing room redo!

  7. I LOVE the dancing spools! I have always wanted to do a spool quilt and now I am changing that to a dancing spools quilt. Love it:)

  8. Those spools are so cute! I've never seen them turned like that. Much easier to piece than the traditional spools with y seams.
