Thankful Sunday

This week warmed up to the high 50's at times.  My husband and I spent time working together outside, raking, double digging our little vegetable garden, cutting back overgrown bushes - general spring clean up.  This is the only time of year that we will probably be ahead of the weeding and other growing season chores.

We've heard geese honking as they fly over, and bird song greets us as we go out the front door each morning.  Spring has come.

I especially enjoyed my trip to the local nursery, where I picked up some organic seeds, and a flat of white pansies.  The sugar snap peas have been planted, and the pansies look great in their beds, little spots of happy I call them.

Spring, I love it!

What are you thankful for today?

  1. Pansies are amazingly frost and snow resistant. I've seen them covered with snow and frost, looking like they'd never come back, yet two hours later the sun had brought them back. I've gained a great appreciation for them! Hope it warms up even more this week for you.
