W.I.P.

My daughter and I finished Joshua's quilt this week.

Our "how to quilt it" dilemma was solved when I took a look at Leah Day's Quilt Busting challenge this week.  The Matrix design was just what I needed to finish this quilt in a hurry.

Binding, which used to be my least favorite part of the quilting process, has turned into one of my favorite parts.  I finally figured out how to do it pretty well, and that has made all the difference.  You can follow my binding tutorial if you are struggling in this area.

The stocking order was completed and mailed out this week too, hooray!

Best of all, I actually got to do some yard work with the gorgeous late Indian Summer weather we had this past weekend.  We had the rainiest October on record, so sunshine was a welcome sight.

What have you been up to lately?

I'm linking up with Leah Day's Free Motion Quilting project, Fabric Tuesday, Quiltsy, and Freshly Pieced.
