I don't know the name of this daisy like plant, but it grows waxy green leaves all summer, and then bursts into bloom when the colder weather hits.
The leaves turn an ugly brown in the cold, and the plant sprawls open in an untidy mess unless we corral the stalks when they are young. But the flowers are glorious, as you can see by this photo my husband took this afternoon after a cold October drizzle (isn't he a good photographer!).
