Here is a picture of my granddaughter's play porch with her new tie dyed curtains installed (from last week's post).
This week was also about pillowcase dresses. My daughter, daughter-in-law, and
myself made this one out of organic cotton from Modern Whimsy by Laurie Wisbrun. My granddaughter chose a peach batik from Timeless Treasures
for the tie. It made for a cute and comfortable dress.
Another pillowcase dress is in the works, but more about that next week.

The best part - this dress took under an hour to make |
The Christmas stockings are coming along steadily, but no progress on the I Spy quilt this week.
What have you been working on lately?
P.S. - Check out the Freshly Pieced and Quiltsy Blogs to see more works in progress, and to link up your projects.
The tye dye curtains are just as awesome as I thought they would be - seriously fun!! I'll bet she loves them. (Love the pillow as well)
ReplyDeleteGreat way to use up those scraps!
ReplyDeleteAnd the curtains and dress are so cute...one lucky little granddaughter :)

ReplyDeleteYour granddaughter is indeed lucky to have that play porch! I would love to have a room just for the grandkids to call their own.
