Sky Watch

In November (11/11/11) I started a Sky Watch Project to take a picture of the sky once a day for a year, and then post it to my blog.

I completed 154 days of sky pictures, and then my husband had some surgery, and everything was put on hold while he recovered.

At that point, I decided to do away with some things that I didn't have time for, and the Sky project was one of them.

Here are a few of the pictures I took.

Isn't it amazing how the sky changes, not just from day to day, but from hour to hour.

Even though I did not finish my project, it had value to me. I am much more aware of the sky now, and enjoy its changing faces even more than before.

God is truly an amazing artist.

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.
In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it:
and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
Psalm 19:1-6

  1. What a lovely and creative way of documenting your days! It's a pity you gave up the project but of course you had to. Have you considered creating a photo book at Blurb, for example? A book full of your wonderful sky photographs?

I hope you and your husband are well now ♥
