Today, I am thankful for fruit. What an amazing variety God has made. My favorites are the berries, my middle granddaughter likes apples best, and my mother loves grapefruit. There is something for everybody!
Last night my husband and I had this fruit salad for dinner. We are trying to eat healthier and lighter in the evening, and take our heartier meals for breakfast and lunch.
My husband's grandparents were farmers. Their biggest meal (dinner) was at mid-day. Then the evening meal (supper) was just some left overs. I think maybe they had the right idea.
I'd love to have a light meal in the evening but my husband thinks I'm punishing him if I do that. :) However, now that he's trying to lose some weight maybe he'll see it your way. My favorite...melon, most any kind. blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteMmmm...mixed fruit is a great supper :) I just bought a bunch of yogurt and canned chicken and tuna to eat for my suppers...I'm trying to eat lighter meals before bed too.
