52 Week Challenge - Week 15

Spring is upon us (my favorite season), and Summer is just around the corner with all its distractions.

This week I used a selvage jelly roll that I had received as a gift from a fellow quilter to make a set of placemats.  I would not normally choose this fabric line, but I must say that I like the way they turned out.  It is good to try something outside your usual parameters now and then don't you think?

French Provincial Selvage

I've called them French Provincial Selvage placemats, and they are for sale in my kimbuktu shop.

I would love to see a project you've finished this week. You can link it below to your shop, blog, facebook, or flickr account. This linky will stay open until next Tuesday at 11:59 p.m.

  6. I have never worked with jelly rolls. Your place mats turned out wonderfully, and they are well named. Those are definitely French Provincial colors!

  7. Love your placemats, I've seen other items made using the selvage and am inspired to try something one of these days.
