Unpacking

Yesterday I unpacked a box that has been stored since our last move.  We moved into our house 7 years ago, so you would think that any box we haven't missed in that length of time could most likely be thrown out without even looking inside right?  Anyway, I did look inside, and found these pictures.  If you click on the picture, you should be able to see it more clearly.

My husband is 2nd row from the top, 3rd young man from the left
I am 2nd row from the front, 2nd row from the right (black shoes, white socks)

One is of my husband's high school band in Garland, Texas, and the other is my 4th grade classroom in Palm Springs, Florida.  I look almost exactly like my 11 year old granddaughter, smiley and skinny, no doubt with scabs on my knees (I was such a tomboy). Funny how they made the girls all wear dresses in those days.  And he looks so tall and pleasant in uniform holding his trombone. Look at those heavy rimmed glasses they wore then.  I plan to frame and hang these photos in our downstairs family room.

What a precious a find.  I am so glad that I didn't throw it out without looking inside first.

Happy Sewing ♥

  1. How cute! Isn't it fun to look back at ourselves? It makes me smile to look at old pictures and think about all the things in my life that were still ahead that I didn't have a clue about.
